Step 1: Discovery & Business Blueprinting What we will do: Conduct an "As-Is" analysis of your current inventory, procurement, and logistics operations. We will map out multi-warehouse setups, stock valuation methods (FIFO, Average Cost), and identify supply chain bottlenecks to design optimized "To-Be" workflows. Deliverable: A comprehensive Functional Requirement Document (FRD) detailing the system architecture and business logic. Step 2: Core SCM Configuration What we will do: Set up the standard Odoo Purchase and Inventory modules. This includes configuring multiple warehouses, internal locations, and operation types (Receipts, Internal Transfers, Delivery Orders). We will also establish reordering rules (Min/Max stock), lead times, and vendor pricelists to automate procurement. Deliverable: A fully configured base Odoo environment ready for standard inventory operations. Step 3: Advanced Workflows & Traceability What we will do: Map complex supply chain rules into the system, including push/pull rules, drop-shipping, cross-docking, and multi-step routes (e.g., Pick -> Pack -> Ship). We will implement Lot/Serial number tracking and barcode scanning workflows for end-to-end product traceability. Deliverable: Automated routing logic and a complete product traceability setup. Step 4: Customization & Integration Guidance What we will do: For requirements outside standard Odoo functionality—such as integrations with shipping carriers, 3PL providers, or custom reporting—I will design the functional specifications. My software development team will then build and deploy the necessary Python/XML scripts and APIs under my direct architectural guidance. Deliverable: Deployed custom modules and active third-party integrations functioning seamlessly within the Odoo ecosystem. Step 5: Data Mapping & Migration What we will do: Extract, cleanse, and map legacy data or Excel records into the new system. This covers product masters, supplier lists, historical purchase orders, and the opening stock inventory for all warehouses. Deliverable: Cleaned and successfully imported data within the live Odoo database. Step 6: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Training What we will do: Execute real-world test cases with your procurement managers and warehouse staff to validate inventory valuation, routing logic, and system accuracy. Once verified, we will conduct hands-on functional training for your operational team. Deliverable: A signed-off UAT report and role-specific end-user training manuals. Step 7: Go-Live & Post-Deployment Support What we will do: Migrate the final configuration to the live production server and officially transition operations to Odoo. We will provide dedicated hyper-care support during the initial operational phase to handle any immediate user queries or system adjustments. Deliverable: A live, smoothly running Odoo SCM system and formal project handover documentation.
